Technological progress is outpacing the ability of policy makers to develop effective legislation that regulates the ethical standards of AI and ensures the proper governance of robots.
To discuss this pertinent topic, the Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (FRIS) at Tohoku University and the Institute for Advanced Study at Kyushu University are co-sponsoring a symposium entitled "Social Robots and Ethical Design."
Researchers from across the globe will explore regulatory frameworks that ensure stakeholders can manage the ethical, legal, and social impacts of human-robot interactions.
