On February 14, Avinash Sonawane, Dean of International Relations at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI), visited Tohoku University, where he met with Executive Vice President Toshiya Ueki and Vice President Masahiro Yamaguchi.

During the meeting, representatives from Tohoku University and delegates from IITI delivered presentations. Professor Satoshi Murata from Tohoku University's Graduate School of Engineering gave a presentation on mechanical engineering. Meanwhile, the IITI delegation provided an overview of their institution and research conducted within individual departments. Both sides also discussed their aspirations for strengthening their partnership in the future.

The IITI delegation also visited multiple laboratories, gaining further insights into potential areas of collaboration. It is expected that this visit will serve as an opportunity for both institutions to expand their exchanges in the future.
